Recently the Skegness Freemasons heard that the National Coastwatch at Skegness is building a new lookout sea safety station at Winthorpe Road, positioned in the grounds of the Derbyshire Miners Convalescence home, right on the promenade with panoramic views over the North Sea and the wind farms being built there. The station will be equipped with much technical communications and weather station equipment, and was currently short funded. The Conclave of Charity Stewards were honoured to make a donation of £500 towards this project in recognition of the service provided to the local community by the volunteers.
The United Grand Lodge of England is the single biggest giver to Charity in the UK, second only to the National Lottery.
