1st July 2017
An evening of music provided by the young people of Lincolnshire.
As part of our Provinces celebrations for the United Grand Lodge of England’s Tercentenary, the Lincolnshire Masonic Social Committee, on behalf of the Province, have the pleasure of sponsoring a family music concert for masons, their families and friends at the parish church of Boston, “The Stump”, on July 1st 2017 starting at 7.30 pm.
We will be entertained by the very talented Lincolnshire Youth Wind Orchestra and the Boston Youth Pop Choir under the leadership of conductor W Bro David Dorey and compered by Bro Rod Whiting.
These acclaimed musicians and choristers are the pick of the county’s musical youth and have given an evening of memorable enjoyment to large audiences at six previous concerts sponsored by the Lincolnshire Masonic Social Committee at various church venues in the Province.
The attached poster gives a flavour of the evening. The programme will be light, popular, family, entertaining and rousing in the style of “The Proms” enabling the performers to show how very talented they are at providing enjoyment for everyone. Included in the programme will be Sea Songs by Henry Wood including “Rule Britannia”, Dam Busters renowned anthem, possible Firework Music by Handel and Pomp and Circumstance – some really flag waving music.
In addition, our Provincial Grand Organist Bro David Shepherd will play the organ in the Saint-Saens Organ Symphony, a truly enjoyable organ symphony.
The concert is open to all masons, families and their friends. Tickets are £8 per adult, under 16 free and there will be refreshments available prior to the start of the concert and at the interval. It is expected the concert will end at around 10 pm
Tickets can be obtained from your Lodge LMSC Linkman or direct from W Bro Barry Topliss (Tel: 01205 367128; E mail: email@example.com). Please make cheques payable to “Lincolnshire Masonic Social Committee”.
A concert not to be missed. A must for everyone’s calendar in support of the United Grand Lodge Tercentenary celebrations and one where we hope we will fill Boston Stump.
